Meet Halena, a 6 year old girl from New Hampshire. This sweet little girl has cancer for the second time in her young life. They recently had to shave her head due to her hair falling out from chemo. We all know times are tough and medical bills are expensive so they set up a gofundme (http://www.gofundme.com/feg7xg) & are asking for any donations to help with medical bills and buying a wig for this cutie. Her favorite movie is frozen so of course she wants a wig to look like Elsa. Even if you can’t donate, please help spread the word. Positive vibes are just as awesome. Thanks for reading!

Sameface Part 2: Revenge of the gender dimorphism

turbomun:

A while ago, I wrote a long-ass article about a certain animated movie’s less-than-stellar treatment of its female character designs. It was not the first, last, or most popular post on the subject, but it did get over 19,000 notes, which is about 18,900 notes more than I thought…

it’s scary how many people subtly support eugenics, you know the people:

who think all disabled people need to be ‘fixed’

who think the ideal future exists without disabled people

who sympathise with murderers of disabled people

who unquestionably support euthanasia

who think that abled people are somehow superior to us

it really fucking scares me

mental health advice from people who don’t struggle with mental illness basically boils down to “have you tried turning it off and on again?”

Hell even the exotic petstore over here has had one for at least a year. It's VERY frustrating for arachnid lovers.

Yeah people are ignorant as fuck about nature and journalism is laughably bad. In fact, reporting on animals as “new discoveries” when they really aren’t happens practically every single day, just when a new paper or something gets published on a weird enough organism.

And for some reason people are under the impression that spiders have ever been parasitic or ever had the ability to tunnel into things or inject eggs into things.

It’s almost like people care more about fictional characters, games and what celebrities are wearing than the real world that sustains them.
